Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an On-Board Test Equipment (OBTE) Systems Engineering Manager 2. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You'll Get To Do:
The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating and executing the On-Board Test Equipment (OBTE) System Engineering Sentinel Statement of work. This includes MPE definition and planning, IMS development, specification/interface/architecture development, verification planning and execution, proposal creation and review (BOE creation, etc.), and other tasking as required per the Sentinel Statement of Work.
In accordance with Northrop Grumman leadership values, the OBTE Sys Eng Restructure POC will support by helping their team develop skills, set goals, and resolve issues, both individually and programmatically. The candidate will also work with the AVE SEI Lead, senior team, and multiple cross-team stakeholders to contribute to develop and execute the Program and SEI vision, goals, and programmatic activities.
The OBTE Sys Eng Lead will demonstrate strong leadership skills. They will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. This candidate will have the ability to execute in a fast-paced environment with high levels of engagement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and leading engineering teams.
In addition to these assignment responsibilities, the selected candidate will perform duties as a functional manager. These duties include but are not limited to: performance management (including performance reviews), career development, training, timecard approval, and enforcement of compliance to company policies and procedures.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with 6 years of related experience
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
• Minimum 1 year experience leading project or driving performance against schedule
• At least 2-years of experience supporting a department of defense contract
• Systems Engineering background in Requirements development, architecture, interfaces, verification, and compliance.
• DOORS Experience
These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have:
• ICBM experience
• Experience through full life cycle of a development program
• CAM Experience/Experience building an IMS
• Participated in or led Critical Design Review (CDR)/or CDR-like Milestones for Systems Engineering scope. Includes RvsC, Entrance/Exit criteria, CDRL development etc.
• Electrical Engineering background and degree
• 5 years of ICBM experience
• Functional and/or Assignment manager experience
• Program Management Experience
• Supplier management experience
• At least 1-year of earned value management experience
• Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability in prioritizing multiple tasks
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with outside organizations
• Knowledge of the Defense Acquisition Process and the Life-cycle of a System/Weapons System
•Self-Starter; Able to lead day-to-day interface activities with little to no direction
•Agile to programmatic changes
