We are delighted to open applications for an additional veterinary ophthalmologist at Primrose Hill Vets located in the beautiful and vibrant city of Dublin.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract for an additional ophthalmology clinician to join our established team consisting of 4 ophthalmologists which we are very proud to include certificate holders and an ECVO diplomate. Clinical excellence is at the heart of our daily lives, we are an efficient team delivering the best ophthalmology care to our patients. We are open to further discussion regarding a permanent role following on from the fixed term contract and if you are interested in a more permanent role please do speak with us.

We are proud to offer a referral ophthalmology service with Primrose Hill being one of the Ireland’s well-established Veterinary Ophthalmology teams.

Our team's experience and expertise extend to diagnosing, treating and managing numerous patients with a full range of complex eye conditions in dogs and other pets. 

In addition, our team is supported by highly trained veterinary nurses providing compassionate post-operative and follow up patient care.

We have a wide range of equipment and facilities to aid in our medical, surgical and diagnostic approach to treating eye conditions in pets.

Our equipment includes (but is not restricted to):

  • Direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy
  • Slit lamp biomicroscopy
  • Tonometry
  • Fundoscopy
  • Electroretinography
  • Ultrasonography
  • High resolution ultrasound biomicroscopy
  • Phacoemulsification
  • Omnigen/corneal/conjunctival grafting
  • Corneal cross linking
  • Endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation and head mounted laser
  • Cryotherapy
  • Ahmed glaucoma valve implantation
  • Meibography
  • Top range anaesthetic equipment (including pulse oximetry, invasive/non-invasive blood pressure monitoring, capnography, electrocardiography, peripheral nerve stimulation, positive pressure ventilation)

We offer a competitive and attractive renumeration package, flexible working with a shared on call rota of 1:4. We welcome applications from ophthalmology certificate holders, advanced practitioners and residency trained clinicians.
