The RHEL Installer and Cockpit groups are seeking a proactive Scrum Master in Waterford, Ireland to support two of our development teams. As a key facilitator of Agile practices, this person will be working on mission-critical components of the Linux operating system. They will guide the team through Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of the Linux operating system and tools in a dynamic Agile environment. 

What you will do:

• Act as Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams focused on Linux software development.
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Ensure Agile practices are followed and continuously improved upon.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain and groom the product backlog.
• Track team progress and performance using appropriate metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts).
• Identify and remove roadblocks to ensure smooth delivery of features.
• Assist with team capacity planning and resource allocation.

What you will bring:

• Experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Familiarity with Linux software development.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional and distributed teams.
• ​Experience working with open-source development and upstream communities
• Technical experience or education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
