Director, Operational Design - Clinical Program Management

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will lead a team of Operational Design Leads (ODL).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build, develop and manage a high performing team of ODL’s
  • Lead the ODL to drive strategy for consistent, operationally integrated study design and protocol, including feasibility, risk assessment, patient insights, and recruitment strategy
  • Build and advance capabilities of the ODL role
  • Manage resource prioritization for the ODL team
  • Provide expertise across the organization to advance innovation in clinical trials

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree & 4 years of directly related experience or equivalent

Or

Master’s degree & 7 years of directly related experience or equivalent

Or

Bachelor’s degree & 9 years of directly related experience or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 11 years work experience in life sciences or medically related field, including 8 years of biopharmaceutical clinical research experience obtained working on clinical trials at a biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Strong understanding of and experience in operationalizing clinical development programs in a global setting
  • Strong strategic leadership attributes, ability to consult with key stakeholders at all levels of management
  • Ability to inspire, educate, and lead cross-functional colleagues in embracing organizational change
  • Scientifically and clinically astute with strong project management and communication skills

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
