Description
Provide operational and maintenance support for the CP140 Procedures Crew Trainer (PCT), Tactical Procedures Trainers (TPT), and MVASP desktop trainers located at 17 Wing Winnipeg. The role ensures training devices are serviceable, reliable, and available to meet operational training requirements
Key responsibilities include:
Provide operational and maintenance support for CP140 PCT, TPT, and MVASP training devices.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance (hardware and software) in accordance with the DND Maintenance Contract to meet required availability and reliability targets.
Monitor training devices to ensure readiness and serviceability for scheduled training.
Analyze, diagnose, and resolve software-related issues.
Identify potential system problems and collaborate with technical experts and colleagues to develop solutions using approved processes and procedures.
Support internal and external customers with system modifications, updates, testing, maintenance, and repairs.
Debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple technologies, including computer systems, networking, audio/video distribution, avionics systems, and software.
Comply with all security, safety, and regulatory requirements associated with Government of Canada programs
Minimum Qualifications
Two-year technical diploma or equivalent related training.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting complex computer systems
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues to the sub-system level
Proficiency in the use of diagnostic and test equipment
Ability to perform preventive maintenance and condition checks on on-site simulators
Ability to support refurbishment projects and hardware modifications
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and applications.
Fluency in English
Legal entitlement to work in Canada
Ability to qualify for the required Government of Canada security clearance
