Department Overview

Avigilon Alta Video has created an innovative cloud video security system solution for small and large scale customers. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with industry experts across Motorola's corporate IT and the Alta product team.

You will join R&D in Uxbridge (West London) overseeing our lab infrastructure which supports the product engineering and QA teams. As the lab systems administrator, you will work alongside another experienced IT administrator and report to the CISO and be responsible for maintaining and improving the lab network and physical infrastructure.


Job Description

Please note this role will be hybrid with home and office working from our Uxbridge office and potentially other offices as per business needs.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Daily maintenance, support and improvements of the R&D lab network infrastructure.

  • Administration of public cloud accounts (billing, VPCs, networking, compute, SQL databases).

  • Network security configuration (on prem and cloud).

  • Helpdesk management (onboarding/offboarding, access requests, troubleshooting issues…).

  • Change management.

  • Infrastructure vulnerability and patch management.

  • Management of System Backups (NAS and cloud).

  • Management of VMWare, Windows and Linux VMs.

  • Management of AWS and GCP Cloud Infrastructure.

  • Management of local application SAML integrations (supported by corporate IT).

  • Installation and maintenance of physical infrastructure at UK London area sites (servers, firewalls and switches).


Basic Requirements

Key skills and Experience:

  • Meraki or Cisco networking Administration.

  • Linux Administration.

  • VMWare or Hyper-V Administration.

  • Okta or Azure AD Administration.

  • Veem or Vembu Backup administration.

  • Nessus/Tenable administration.

  • BigFix or Group Policy administration.

  • Bash or PowerShell Scripting.

  • IT Administration under ISO 27001 or SOC2.

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator, CCNA or CompTIA+ Certification Preferred.
