About You 
Join our vibrant team where we are committed to excellence. You will work under the direction of the Senior Manager, Planning and Operations to provide a broad range of administrative and resource support functions which ensure effective delivery of School operations. We are seeking a dedicated and proactive School Support Officer (SSO) to join the School of Management and School of Economics, Finance and Marketing, working across both areas 

 

In this role you will assist in coordinating workshops, seminars, events and planning days and working collaboratively with other event staff as required. You will provide comprehensive support to our School and its committees, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication. You will also be engaged in aiding our Senior Coordinator to manage sessional staff engagement, onboarding, and pay processes. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to effectively manage and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced setting. 

 

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:  

  • Experience in providing high-level administrative support in a University environment or a similar large and complex organisation. 

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. 

  • Experience in event coordination and management (desirable).  

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook, and familiarity with website and document management systems. 

  • Ability to engage in continuous improvement processes and contribute to enhancing service delivery.
