Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned HR Business Partner with 10+ years of experience to act as a strategic HR advisor to a regional business department, covering our Americas region, including New York, Canada, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing people strategies that drive organizational effectiveness, talent development, and cultural alignment across regions.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of influencing and partnering with senior leaders while maintaining trust, professionalism, and business alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership & Advisory

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with regional business leaders.

  • Advise on people’s strategy, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.

Talent & Organizational Development

  • Lead Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP), talent reviews, and organizational design initiatives.

  • Drive succession planning, performance management, and development strategies.

  • Identify high-potential talent, key roles, and development needs.

Manager & Team Development

  • Coach and develop managers and employees to strengthen leadership maturity and team dynamics, communication and decision making.

  • Mediate and advise on conflict resolution, organizational adjustments, and change management.

  • Promote employee engagement and cultural alignment across the region.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Act as a daily point of contact for employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and individual concerns.

  • Ensure policy compliance with Group and local HR policies across domains and geographies.

  • Support change management and risk mitigation efforts.

  • Support and advise managers on team organization, recruitment planning (in collaboration with Talent Acquisition), and workforce management.

HR initiatives and processes

  • Contribute to the deployment of Group HR initiatives and processes (e.g., performance management, compensation, training, organizational changes).

  • Collaborate with teams to understand their challenges and co-create solutions that evolve HR tools, processes, and policies.

  • Drive innovation in HR practices and contribute to global HR projects

Systems & Analytics

  • Utilize Workday for job changes, talent calibration, and people analytics.

  • Support data-driven decision-making through HR metrics and dashboards.

  • Monitor KPIs such as talent retention, leadership pipeline strength, Strategic Workforce Planning maturity, engagement, and attrition.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+years of HR experience in a global and/or matrixed organization

  • Strong expertise in strategic HR advisory, talent management, and operational HR support.

  • Proven ability to coach managers, lead change, and manage HR projects.

  • Strong understanding of HR systems (Workday preferred) and data analytics

  • Excellent people skills, communication, assertiveness, and influencing skills

    • Ability to remain calm and effective in a rapidly changing environment

    • Skilled at building credibility and influencing senior leaders, even in challenging situations

    • Strong understanding of industry dynamics and how HR strategies influence business outcomes

    • Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to deliver difficult messages constructively

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus

  • Experience working across multiple geographies and cultures

Compensation for roles at Murex varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Murex provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York City, as set forth below, and information on benefits offered.

Salary Range: USD 150,000 to USD 170,000
