About the Role & Team
The Disney Vacation Club (DVC) is a vacation ownership/timeshare that gives our Guests the chance to enjoy Disney experiences around the country for years to come.
This role will require transporting Guests across WDW property and surrounding areas to Disney Vacation Club Welcome Home Center locations while engaging and reducing relational tension with Guests during the trip. Safe operation of the vehicle and ensuring the safety of the passengers is critical. Maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle during the shift is required to ensure a show-ready ride experience.
As a DVC Driver, you will report to the Sales Support & Services Manager.
This is a full-time role.
What You Will Do
You will offer our Guests travel assistance to and from our Welcome Home Centers located throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. To be successful in this role you need to possess an outgoing personality and enjoy high levels of Guest interaction. You must have the ability to engage Guests through storytelling, sharing general property information, and Disney trivia.
As you transport our Members or groups of Guests, you will also be encouraged to provide information regarding what they can expect to experience during their visit. You should have a basic knowledge of the Disney Vacation Club membership and have the ability to learn exact locations and nuances of pick-up and drop-off locations in the WDW Parks and Resorts. Additionally, you will immerse Guests in their surroundings by providing information about our property and, if needed, provide basic Guest recovery related to their vacation experience.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Must have a valid FL Driver's License with a clean driving record
Must be comfortable driving and maintaining various sizes of vehicles up to 15 passengers
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
Ability to sporadic heavy lifting and bending regarding handling items up to 25 lbs (e.g., personal items, baggage, car seats, etc.)
Ability to operate ADA equipment to assist our Guest with disabilities
Ability to recognize and report general van mechanical or safety issues
Proven ability to utilize radio equipment and touchscreen technology (e.g. smart phone applications)
Ability to be flexible with work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Proven strong Guest service skills
Must successfully complete various training standards from practice, observation, and learning assessments
High level of Cast engagement with value chain partners; responsible for proper introduction and hand off in the sales tour process
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to resolve guest issues and concerns directly or through engaging the right partners
Proficient at storytelling and high level of Cast to Guest engagement
Solid understanding of WDW & Company services and products
Demonstrated extensive Walt Disney World Park and Property knowledge
Multilingual skills desired
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent relevant experience
