What is the role?

As our Special Events Sales Executive, you will be an integral part of SFC’s non-matchday events team as we look to grow our revenue and maximise the use of our venues. Working on all special events across the year, you will gain a full understanding of the club’s portfolio of spaces, events, products and understand how to bring these into conversations with prospective clients.

A pro-active attitude on outbound call campaigns is expected, whilst also being confident in face-to-face meetings to source new clients and to build upon current relationships. Sales experience is essential for this role.

What will you be doing?

This is an exciting time to join the club as we launch new elements to the stadium, showcasing what St. Mary’s can offer outside of matchdays.

On a daily basis you will be proactively making outbound calls to potential clients and using your experience to spot opportunities to sell and upsell in order to maximise revenue. You will respond to and convert all inbound enquiries in a timely and professional manner with the ability to develop leads through research and outbound calls (expectation of calls and connections will be agreed upon).

You will have the opportunity to attend event days and have the confidence to hold audiences, build relationships with customers and ensure that they feel valued by SFC.

Is this you?

We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven individual with proven experience (at least 1 year) in sales and events. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to close deals, build relationships and exceed revenue goals. Other requirements include:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both face-to-face and on the phone.

  • Pro-active with their sales approach, self-motivated and driven to meet targets.

  • A passion for exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

  • Efficient and organised with excellent time management skills, working to tight deadlines.
