Join Mizuho as a Security Risk & Assurance Analyst!

We are seeking a Security Risk & Assurance Analyst with foundational knowledge in information security and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will support the organization's efforts to strengthen its security posture and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive information security maturity assessments to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Provide actionable feedback to architecture review boards on security controls and best practices.
  • Review third-party vendor controls for alignment to Mizuho security controls and requirements.
  • Manage and support cybersecurity audits, ensuring documentation and evidence are properly maintained.
  • Assist in managing responses to regulatory inquiries and maintaining compliance with cybersecurity regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated understanding of information security and cybersecurity principles.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and provide concise feedback to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (such as NIST and CRI).
  • Proficiency in technical writing, with the ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation for cybersecurity processes and controls.

  • The expected base salary ranges from $111k-$170k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
