About the Team:

Strategic Partnerships are a dynamic, results-driven team responsible for prospecting, signing and managing strategic partnerships in the EMEA region. Our focus is on key industries including telcos, mobile network operators, banks, insurers and payments. We deliver cutting-edge cyber security solutions for consumers and SMEs by forging strong alliances with industry leaders, addressing the unique challenges faced by each vertical and prospect/partner and making a transformative impact for both the partner and their customers, deploying the world’s leading cybersecurity products.

Role Overview:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving impactful business development initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and pursue key prospects, cultivating strategic partnerships that position our company as a trusted cyber security partner. You will work closely with other sales people on the Strategic Partnerships and more broadly across Gen to drive key metrics. You will collaborate to tailor solutions that deliver exceptional value to our partners and their customers. You will be empowered to identify and execute sales strategies to land deals and will be expected to build relationships with prospectsidentify key decision makers and leverage the relationships you build to close deals. 

What you will do in the role:

·       Analyze market trends and identify business opportunities within the markets you are assigned from time to time, focusing on telcos, mobile network operators, banks, insurers and payments.

·       Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with industry leaders, facilitating the adoption of our cutting-edge cyber security solutions.

·       Understand and address the unique challenges faced by different industries, positioning our company as a leading provider of cyber security solutions in the region.

·       Achieve and exceed sales targets by effectively negotiating and closing deals.

·       Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and stay ahead of the competitioncommunicating what you identify, with the business to build a deep understanding of why you need what you do to sign deals. 

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless implementation of business development strategies. This includes marketing, product marketing, sales engineering (pre-sales), finance and partner enablement (product). You must be able to collaborate and drive better outcomes leveraging the different perspectives and experiences your colleagues bring. You must also know when a decision is required and make it. 

·       You will be required to build financial models and negotiate pricing with prospects ensuring Gen hit our marging and growth targets.

·       You will also be accountable for determining the negotiating strategy and executing it to contracts, working with legal and the Strategic Partnership team leader. 


What you will need to be successful in the role:

Education and Experience:

·       Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

·       Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, with a strong advantage for candidates experienced in the cybersecurity industry.

·       Familiarity with EMEA markets, particularly in the telcos, mobile network operators, banks, insurers and payments.

·       Understanding of cybersecurity solutions and technologies would be advantageous.
 

Sales and Business Development Skills:

·       Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and developing new business opportunities.

·       Proven ability to identify and pursue key prospects, fostering strategic partnerships.

·       Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

·       The ability to listen, probe and capitalize on the insights you gain for the benefit of Gen.

·       Strong negotiation and closing skills.

·       Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

·       Customer centric approach to commercial thinking. Ensuring the prospect/clients’, and their customers’ needs are and met by Gen and the solutions we provide.  


Market Knowledge:

·       In-depth knowledge and or the ability to gain insight quickly of the markets assigned to you. This includes competitive landscape, and industry trends.

·       Understanding of the specific cybersecurity challenges and requirements in the markets.

·       Experience in a B2B2C (business-to-business-to-consumer) environment would be highly desirable.


Language Skills:

·       Fluent in German (written and spoken)

·       Fluent in English (written and spoken).
