About the role: 

As a Business Analyst in the Lookback Notification System (LNS) space within the Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) business unit, you will independently serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams. You will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders, determine requirements, translate business needs into effective technical solutions, maintaining continuous dialogue with all teams to ensure robustness, accuracy and consistency.  

By gathering requirements and facilitating cross-team communication between business and IT teams, this role directly contributes to PDT’s ability to harness data effectively, enhancing decision-making capabilities, and competitive advantage in the market. You will be adopting cutting-edge technologies and methodologies which will help Takeda drive innovation, adapt to new opportunities, and continuously evolve in an ever-changing business/technological landscape.

This position will align to Functional Analysis chapter of the ICC and initially report to the Functional Delivery Lead for strategic direction as well as day-to-day management until the role of BA Lead is filled within Takeda ICC, post which the reporting and managerial responsibilities will be transitioned accordingly.

How you will contribute:

  • Lead core execution teams, providing clear direction and effective delegation
  • Mentor and support junior team members, facilitating their development and addressing any concerns
  • Serve as a vital link between the execution layer and the management layer, ensuring seamless communication and alignment
  • Conduct client workshops to gather requirements by understanding & assessing user needs, objectives & pain points.
  • Data & AI orientation: Demonstrated ability to interpret and work with data (e.g., dashboards, reports, data quality concepts) and understanding of AI/ML fundamentals to adapt to emerging technology trends, identify opportunities for intelligent automation/insights within Salesforce, and make data-informed decisions.
  • Manage product backlog and help in prioritizing product release features to realize business value and complaint resolution while creating the roadmap for the releases.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional/technical specifications including use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, design documents, and similar documents; document feature requirements as user stories and obtain client sign-off.
  • Support and facilitate change management processes to ensure controlled releases in network
  • Highlight/identify gaps in existing functionality/user requirements.
  • Support and contribute to verification, Quality, and user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts, including test case development, test execution, facilitation of testing with end users, issue resolution, and assist in triaging functional defects.
  • Liaise with different stakeholders including the client/business owner, project manager, solution architect, developers, testers and validators to ensure timely delivery of items.
  • Understand the business justification for the product, client’s vision, and future scope.
  • Act as a liaison between IT, Quality, and business teams to ensure effective communication and alignment on system changes, including dashboards, report outs, planning decks, etc.
  • Facilitation documentation of all project-related information such as Functional Specification documents, Validation documents, and other functional documentations as per the appropriate format, and ensure alignment of documentation practices with development and Quality teams.
  • Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Aid in investigation and analysis of issues to identify root cause.
  • Work closely with the Design team to translate user requirements, non-functional requirements, and business goals into intuitive, user-friendly designs.
  • Develop change rationale and perform scoping assessments to determine the feasibility of potential changes.
  • Collaborate extensively across the organization, keep abreast of industry trends, continuously learn and adapt to new tools and techniques, and contribute to process improvement efforts.
  • Ensure the project milestones are achieved on time.
  • Drive calls with the client and other business stakeholders to gather product requirements and lead the daily scrum calls to ensure smooth progress of the project.
  • Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a similar field required. Master's degree in a similar field would be a plus
  • 4-7 years of experience working as Business Analyst/Product Owner

  • Understanding technical requirements, tech stacks and systems, to participate in discussions with development tea for collaboration of tangible outputs and actions.
  • Strong end-to-end BA skills: gathering, analyzing and documenting business and system requirements.
  • Data analysis skills (SQL) with an ability to validate data quality, troubleshoot inconsistencies, and interpret data.
  • Owning and driving the design control process requirements
  • Translation of requirements into technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Expertise in Agile (incl. PI Planning, Roadmap Development, Backlog Prioritization etc.).
  • Product Mindset & Analytical Skillset.
  • Experience in conducting & analyzing user research.
  • Experience in change management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Highly organized; able to break down complex problems and set priorities
  • Strong relationship building and team collaboration skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

Preferred requirements:

  • Regulatory knowledge such as change control processes related to GXP systems including the ability to create and manage change controls to ensure compliance, GXP documentation process and experience in drafting detailed documentation for Verification and Validation cycle.
  • Familiarity with DevOps Practices (CI/CD pipelines).
  • Experience with advanced prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse teams including IT, product owners, Quality, and external vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Strong Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.
  • Strong understanding of GxP requirements and documentation management.
  • Hands-on experience providing support for validation testing and resolving issues that arise during the process.
  • Ability to query databases for relevant data requests and evaluations
  • Agentforce: Familiarity or hands-on exposure to Salesforce Agentforce (or equivalent agentic/GenAI capabilities within Salesforce), including understanding of use cases, configuration, governance, and safe adoption in enterprise environments.
