We are looking for a proactive and business-minded Plant Finance Manager to join our plant leadership team in Koog aan de Zaan. In this key role, you will act as a strategic finance partner to the Plant Manager and leadership team, driving financial performance, cost control, and operational efficiency. It is a complex food processing plant with about 300 FTE.

The plant is going through a major organizational and cultural change program, and we are looking for a person who is energized by driving this journey together with the rest of the leadership team in Koog and help unlock all the potential on site.

At the same time significant investment is taking place to modernize the plant and enhance further growth.

What you’ll do

  • Act as a trusted partner to the Plant Manager and leadership team and make finance an integral part of plant operations
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Lead performance analysis for the site
  • Ensure accurate cost accounting and financial controls
  • Support investment decisions and capital project evaluations
  • Drive continuous improvement and financial process optimization
  • Collaborate with global finance teams and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal policies

What you bring

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; experience as an accountant is a plus.
    Possesses specialist knowledge of financial modelling, commercial planning and risk management.
  • Strong communication skills to persuade and influence a wide range of stakeholders across the organization. The role needs to adapt styles, interpret and explain information to different audiences within and outside the organization who are not familiar with the subject matter.
  • Resolve FP&A-related issues that are complex or unusual, requiring original thought, research, new approaches and analytical techniques.
  • Oversee project delivery, including managing project timelines, budgets and resources to ensure successful completion.
  • Management accounting and cost controlling background 
  • Solid business and financial experience in a global, matrix organization 
  • Previous experience in manufacturing plant finance role is an advantage 
  • You really want to know the business and to understand how this affects the plant financial figures.
  • Team player with excellent ability to build rapport and develop collaborative working relationships within and outside finance 
  • You enjoy walking on the shopfloor and talking to people
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities and solving challenges  
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to simplify
  • Capable of leading and managing multiple and challenging assignments
  • Very good skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel advanced level) 
  • SAP knowledge is a strong advantage 
  • Proficiency in English, Fluent in Dutch
