About the position:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Clinical Nurse (Education) with a passion for clinical teaching and facilitation. Our ideal candidate will have experience in Education, and Medical, Surgical, Oncology, Palliative Care and/or Rehabilitation to join our Education Team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane facility. This is a permanent, part-time role of 15.2 hours (0.4 FTE) per fortnight.

Reporting to the Education Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the professional development of nurses and students to provide responsive, effective, evidence-based education, and safe, quality care to our patients whilst addressing both organisational and learner's needs.

You will be responsible for all aspects of education and training across the hospital, sharing this with other members of the education team. You will also ensure the provision of excellent care through supporting the development and assessment of clinical skills, assisting and conducting workshops and support other education activities.

Things that work for us:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

  • Extensive experience within sub-acute specialties such as Medical/Surgical/Oncology/Palliative and Rehabilitation nursing

  • Demonstrated clinical leadership abilities and strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Demonstrated experience in an education or clinical facilitation role

  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment (current) is highly desirable

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education in a healthcare setting, or working towards same is highly desirable


Remuneration:

The position of Clinical Nurse (Education) in addition to our competitive salary packaging options, is a Classification/Grade with a base remuneration of $52.28 - $56.01 + superannuation based on experience level and relevant qualifications, exclusive of shift penalties or allowances.
