JR48384 Principal/Manager Memory Design Engineer – Analog Desing/Verification/Layout (Evergreen)

In DRAM and Emerging memory Group (DEG) at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for leading a team tasked with product design & development which includes designing, analyzing, and verifying digital and analog circuits used in the development of DRAM memory products having advanced low power and power management technologies spread across multiple categories such as HBM4, DDR5, LPDDR5 and LPDDR6.  

 

In this position, you will collaborate with Micron’s various design, layout and verification teams all over the world and support the efforts of groups such as Business Unit, Product Engineering, Test, Probe, Process Integration, Assembly and Marketing to proactively build products that optimize all manufacturing functions and assure the best cost, quality, reliability, time-to-market, and customer satisfaction. 

 

Responsibilities of your team will include, but are not limited to: 

1.       Contributing to the development of new DRAM, emerging memory products and IP’s by enabling the overall design, layout, and optimization of Memory/Logic/Analog circuits 

2.       Supporting design validation & verification, reticle experiments and required tape-out revisions 

3.       Performing verification processes with modeling and simulation using industry standard simulators 

4.       Contributing to cross group communication to work towards standardization and group success 

5.       Working with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, and Product Engineering groups to ensure proper manufacturability of product 

6.       Proactively solicit inputs from Standards, CAD, modeling, Technology Development groups to ensure the design quality and reliability 

7.       Driving innovation into the future Memory generations within a dynamic work environment. 

  

Successful candidates for this position will have: 

1.       Experience leading a team of young engineers and technical subject matter experts 

2.       Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to other design and verification peers in verbal and written form  

3.       A mindset and passion for continuous learning, innovation, success, and enabling others to do the same 

4.       Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills 

5.       Extensive knowledge of Custom Circuit Design, Analog Design, Verification and Layout  

6.       Knowledge about complete product design and development flow including: 

a.       Memory Design 

b.       Power network development & analysis 

c.       Reliability analysis and improvements 

d.       State machine modelling, design and verification  

e.       Verification methodologies and frameworks including behavioral modeling, Timing analysis, equivalence check  

7.       Familiarity with a scripting language (Python, Tcl, Perl, etc) 

8.       Familiarity with various memory design architectures  

9.       Good exposure to various CAD tools 

 

Qualifications:  

1.       Bachelors or Post Graduate Degree in Electronics Engineering or related engineering field 

2.       10+ years of related industry technical experience 

3.       3+ years of people leadership experience
