Job Description Summary:

JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to co-develop new joint ventures and support existing joint ventures’ operational needs which provide patient care or support services across the state of Ohio. This role will have a strong focus on enterprise project management for existing joint ventures to drive quick decision making and strategic growth initiatives as designed by JV partners.
This role will facilitate relationships between groups such as JV Administration, JV Board of Managers, OhioHealth Senior Executives, as well as OhioHealth matrixed departments which indirectly or directly support JVs.
This position will work independently to gather required information to develop, implement, and analyze project/program initiatives which benefit both the OhioHealth strategic plan and the long-term goals of the various Joint Ventures. This position will support the VP of Joint Ventures and/or the Principal Advisor to Joint Ventures to foster the growth of the JV portfolio. This position will drive 3rd party valuations and business assessments as well as deal and contract review and negotiations. This position will pivot between growth initiatives and turnaround activities as directed by the VP of Joint Ventures and/or the JV Board of Managers.
The ideal candidate must have prior healthcare operations experience with direct experience with physicians. Prior negotiation and physician practice experience preferred. Prior Board relations experience preferred. The ideal candidate is flexible with work environments and ambiguity and is willing to work in the office up to three days per week or more as business requires.
The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated, self-starter who requires little direction and is willing to take risks with the possibility of failing. An innovation/process-improvement focused mindset and strong relationship management track record with high EQ will be critical to the success of this role. The ideal candidate is results-oriented exampled by previously measured organizational impact.
The Joint Venture business unit makes up over $120M of OhioHealth’s net operating income. This position will support all aspects of the JV portfolio not limited to but including new partnership development, deal terms, contract negotiations, board member relations, growth and expense reduction opportunities, senior executive updates, and operational start-up and wind-down of specific entities. Position supports all aspects of team-oriented work including but not limited to new investment opportunities for OhioHealth.
