As a Senior Manager in SMAI F10 Data Science at Micron Technology, you will be part of the Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence (SMAI) organization, which defines, drives, and delivers end-to-end smart manufacturing solutions integrated across business functions. This team leverages cutting-edge methodologies in automation, AI, and machine learning to enhance Micron’s product development, operational efficiency, and business processes globally.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Collaborate with smart manufacturing strategy leads to design, develop, and deploy smart manufacturing applications across all Micron fabs.
  • Partner with F10 leaders to drive adoption and integration of SMAI solutions.
  • Shape and influence data science strategies and application development.
  • Provide technical consulting and hands-on support to project teams for solution design, troubleshooting, and deployment.
    Resolve escalated application issues through solutions and coaching.
    Assess and recommend solutions, including third-party software and hardware when appropriate.
  • Stay informed on site-specific business practices and ensure alignment.
  • Apply advanced concepts in mathematics, statistics, information science, and computer science, including:
    • Signal processing, probability models, machine learning, statistical learning, data mining, data engineering, pattern recognition, visualization, predictive analytics, uncertainty modeling, data warehousing, compression, programming, Generative AI, and cloud and high-performance computing.
  • Lead research initiatives and remain current on emerging trends and technologies in data science.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or higher) with 10+ years of experience in data science or a related engineering field.
  • Hands-on end-to-end experience in production-scalable data analytics application development and data engineering pipelines
  • Knowledge of semiconductor fab operations is a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead, inspire, and motivate large high-performing teams
  • Proven track record to lead cross-functional initiatives in matrixed environments
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen with the ability to translate smart manufacturing strategies into measurable multidimensional business impact
  • Peer leadership and relationship management skills,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Highly organized, adaptable to evolving business needs.
  • Outstanding customer focus with ability to projectized and prioritize work you're doing.
