Position Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the ongoing processes associated with accreditation and re-accreditation efforts and quality assessment and improvement for the School of Public Health, including appropriate assessment and assurance of learning processes related to CEPH accreditation standards. Responsible for aligning assessment goals with teaching and learning, to align with the School of Public Health’s strategic direction as well as in collaboration with the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and the Associate Dean for Education and to maintain and monitor all data as consistent with the School’s strategic planning. Provides ongoing evaluation of all parts of the School of Public Health to ensure continuous improvement. Coordinates with the University’s strategic plan, Here and Next, to provide updates on progress toward completion of University strategic plan priorities.
This position requires the ability to work in a hybrid work arrangement and the ability to work evenings and weekends.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Accreditation Compliance Oversight
- Provide leadership for accreditation compliance, consult with faculty, staff, and leadership to help formulate, plan, and align assessment activities within academic programs, and support services.
- Perform advanced analysis of unique and highly complex issues involving assessment, development, implementation, and maintenance of academic program accreditation and subsequent re-accreditation by CEPH.
- Analyze school and campus-wide policies and processes to ensure compliance with accreditation standards, making recommendations for changes or improvements.
- Track accreditation activities and progress towards goals, while coordinating the resolution of issues that may jeopardize accreditation status and developing procedures to improve school efficiency, performance, and compliance.
- Review existing policies, procedures, and processes to identify gaps in compliance with CEPH accreditation standards, including written directives. Develop, write, revise, and assist in managing the catalog of policies and forms to meet accreditation standards, including written directives.
- Serve as the subject expert on the accreditation process, including serving as liaison with institutional accreditation representative; act as resource for good assessment practices and assist with conducting training and professional development activities associated with assessment.
- Assign, direct, and coordinate staff to achieve plans of action, make recommendations to school leadership, and engage in other activities in order to meet compliance with applicable accreditation standards.
- Recommend changes in policies and procedures when indicated by accreditation updates, updates in law, updates in regulations, changes or modifications.
Continuous Evaluation Oversight
- Create and implement strategy for regular evaluation of academic, student, faculty and staff policies.
- Create and implement strategy for regular curricular evaluation and improvement.
- Evaluate and update policies, systems, and procedures that foster a positive culture and maximize cross-functional collaboration and efficiency.
- Co-design faculty development, aligning development with assessment goals.
- Review school-wide student evaluation of faculty and align with assessment goals.
- Monitor data consistent with the School’s strategic direction and planning.
Coordination with Academic Program for Curricular Evaluation and Development
- Responsible for evaluating need for new courses and managing satisfaction with existing courses, and recruit faculty.
- Monitor program course evaluations, taking action as needed, including working with course instructor and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs as well as Faculty Development Coordinator to suggest opportunities for faculty development.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate studies in assessment, program evaluation, or a related discipline.
- Experience in designing and facilitating learning opportunities for diverse groups, educational assessment, maintaining learning environments and communities, and best practices in teaching and learning.
- Experience with institutional accreditation, such as the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) or a similar accrediting agency.
- Experience with program evaluation and continuous quality improvement.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and evaluate complex academic processes, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to plan and manage multiple projects that yield successful outcomes.

Salary Range
$65,900.00 - $112,700.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
