Act as a cybersecurity subject matter expert (SME) for assigned business units, platforms, or regions, aligning security controls with business strategy.
Identify, assess, prioritize, and manage information security risks in accordance with enterprise policies, standards, and frameworks.
Ensure timely remediation of identified risks; track issues, exceptions, and treatment plans through established governance processes.
Continuously monitor the external threat landscape and emerging cyber risks; proactively adapt security strategies to evolving threats.
Inform business leaders of cybersecurity implications of strategic and operational decisions using data-driven analysis and expert judgment.
Build trusted relationships with senior business, IT, and functional leaders.
Translate complex cybersecurity and risk concepts into clear, business-oriented language that enables informed decision-making.
Challenge assumptions constructively and provide alternative risk-based perspectives to influence outcomes.
Drive risk ownership and accountability within business and IT teams.
Educate stakeholders to improve cybersecurity awareness, culture, and shared responsibility.
Provide people leadership for Cyber Security team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Coach and mentor team members; support skill development, performance management, and succession planning.
Lead by influence across cross-functional and global teams in a matrixed, follow-the-sun operating model.
Serve as backup to peer leaders within the cybersecurity function as needed.
Define and track key risk indicators (KRIs), security performance metrics, and remediation progress.
Prepare and present concise, data-driven security insights to leadership and governance forums.
Drive continuous improvement in cybersecurity processes, tooling, and engagement models.
Support cybersecurity strategy development and execution in partnership with enterprise security leadership.
Collaborate with internal teams and external security partners/service providers to execute security controls and remediation plans.
Support audits, assessments, and third-party risk activities.
Contribute to improving supplier security posture and compliance where applicable.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
18+ years of total IT experience, with significant exposure to: Cybersecurity risk management Information security governance and controls IT or digital platforms supporting enterprise-scale environments
Strong understanding of how business initiatives create value and introduce risk.
Proven ability to analyze security risk in the context of real business problems.
Demonstrated experience engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Experience working in global, matrixed organizations across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
Prior people management experience in cybersecurity or adjacent IT domains.
Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, MedTech, finance).
Strong vendor engagement and third-party risk management exposure.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent (preferred, not mandatory).
Strong business acumen with a global mindset.
Confident, self-driven leader with high ethical standards.
Ability to influence without authority using data and credibility.
Analytical, structured thinker with a bias for action.
Collaborative, inclusive leadership style with a focus on trust and transparency.
