Trouw Nutrition is seeking a Warehouse Worker for our Westlock location. Reporting to the Mill Store Manager, the Warehouse worker (Mill Store) supports daily warehouse operations and customer service activities. This role involves handling product movement, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and assisting customers and internal teams. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset are essential.

About The Role: Our unionized Warehouse Worker provides exceptional customer service and optimizes inventory movement.

Responsibilities: The duties for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with stock counts and respond to customer inquiries during pickups
  • Perform general housekeeping and warehouse duties within the warehouse of the Mill Store, including serving customers, loading feed, and receiving orders using a forklift
  • Maintain cleanliness in the yard and load animal handling supplies from the outdoor compound
  • Restock feed in the Mill Store as required
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow
  • Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to regularly bend, twist, climb ladders, open/close lids and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 kg (55 lbs) regularly
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced physically demanding environment
  • Comfortable working in a dusty, noisy, and variable-temperature environment
  • Use of personal protective equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety boots, etc.) as required
  • Capable of operating equipment and working at heights when required

Skills and Expertise 

Qualifications: 

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Agricultural industry experiences an asset
  • Forklift experience is an asset
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Committed to delivering high-quality customer service
  • Outstanding organizational abilities and demonstrated attention to detail
  • Must be pleasant and professional and demonstrate excellent customer service skills

Working Conditions:

  • Regular, full-time hours (Monday to Friday), and/or rotating shifts may be required, including occasional weekends or extended hours based on operational needs
  • Unionized position under the Canada - Grain and General Services Union (GSU) agreement

Expectation from the Role: 

  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with inquiries and making product recommendations

  • Collaborate with team members, maintain a clean and organized store, and support additional tasks as needed

  • Accurate movement and reporting of inventory

  • On-site location: 9415 – 109 Street Westlock, Alberta T7P 2M6
