Overview:

Johnson Controls is seeking a talented and motivated Salesforce Data Migration Specialist to join our growing team. The specialist will be responsible for end‑to‑end migration of data from legacy systems into Salesforce using Salesforce tools and ETL expertise. This role will play a key part in designing, managing, and executing data migration processes between Salesforce, legacy applications, databases, and unstructured data source ensuring data integrity, accuracy, de‑duplication, and full compatibility with the Salesforce environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze legacy data sources, assess data quality and define mapping/transformation for Salesforce objects.
  • Design, develop, and execute data migration strategies using DBAmp for SQL Server–Salesforce integration.
  • Automate recurring data loads, report generation, and file transfers using batch scripts, FTP/SFTP servers, and scheduling tools like Windows Task Scheduler.
  • Support data extracts, reporting, data management requirements from business and technical stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain ETL workflows in Talend and/or Informatica for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Building strategy for repeatable ETL and data processes.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce administrators, developers, and business stakeholders to align migration with project goals.
  • Conduct migration testing, troubleshoot issues, and optimized performance.
  • Document migration processes, data models, and transformation logic for future reference

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience with Salesforce DBAmp for SQL Server integration and Salesforce Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, Workbench.
  • Excellent in SQL, PL/SQL ,T-SQL, Perl skill and understanding of relational databases.
  • Experience with batch scripting and FTP/SFTP automation and scheduling tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud or Service Cloud.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce data structures, APIs, and best practices for large-scale data migration.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Coordinating with teams spread across the globe.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Flexible in acquiring new data integration skills sets as recommended in the enterprise.
  • Relevant certifications (optional but beneficial): Salesforce Administrator, SQL Server, AWS/Azure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on expertise in Talend and/or Informatica ETL tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud storage integrations (AWS S3, Azure Blob, etc.).
