Industrial Assembler I

Key performance areas

As the Industrial Assembler I, you will assemble large and heavy parts to complete sub-assemblies and drilling rigs using hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment. You will be expected to perform a variety of specialized assembly operations, including electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical tasks.

Main Responsibilities

  • Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.

  • Check power and hand tools for correct operation.

  • Follow instructions from the supervisor or manager.

  • Assemble components using power and hand tools based on the lBill of Materials & Lean System.

  • Follow a granular schedule to determine required assembly and special options on the machine.

  • Report hours properly in the system.

  • Ensure connections for correct fit, fastening parts, and sub-assemblies per customer specifications.

  • Report assembly problems to the Lean system and the supervisor for assistance.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment following company policies and procedures.

  • Handle other tasks as assigned by the Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager.

Job Requirements & Competencies

  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship on an indefinite basis.

  • Prior experience demonstrating values around safety, integrity, customer focus, innovation, and passion to win.

  • Prior mechanical and/or electrical background gained either through work (preferred) or hobbies.

  • Knowledge of basic hand tools.

  • Understanding and ability to follow Bill of Materials and read drawings.

  • Willingness and ability to work overtime and shift work as needed.

  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Education

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
