The Senior Accountant will be responsible for hands-on, end-to-end administration of Model N's Payment Processing process.
Key responsibilities:
Review and verify the proper approvals for invoices, validate invoice coding, as well as correct discrepancies and prepare payment packages for senior management to review and approve for signatures.
Manage and track Estimate / Funding Request status.
Maintain funding and payment activity tracker.
Process daily check and ACH disbursements.
Maintain new vendor setup, update vendor list and electronic payment information.
Correspond with Operation Managers, business owners, vendors and respond to inquiries.
Perform daily/weekly client cash application.
Prepare and distribute monthly client account reconciliation reports.
Assist with CFM banking account set up and creation for new clients and coordinate account closure recommendations for customer churns.
Prepare quarter-end liability reclass journal entries.
Reconcile Balance Sheet cash and payables related accounts.
Assist with year-end external audit and respond to questions posed by external auditors.
Assist with annual SOC audit request gathering.
Assist with other ad hoc general ledger, analysis and process improvement projects.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred, semi-qualified CA or MBA (Finance) is plus.
Experience:
3-5 years in accounts payable role.
Experience with accounting software preferably NetSuite and MS Office.
Strong understanding of AP processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
