Business Overview / Position Objective:

Seeking a candidate to join Cross Asset Derivative Client Services (also known as Third Party & MAG Middle Office) team who acts as a sales and trading support & control function to the Tokyo based front offices; Cross Asset Solutions and Multi-Asset Group.

The team mainly covers 1. structured note with equity underlying, 2. mutual fund distribution(投信). We are looking for a candidate who is detail orientated, punctual and accurate, can communicate well, can work successfully with others as a team and who can take initiative to solve problems & find solutions/remediation actions by working closely with their colleagues, the business and other support and control teams. The role includes both external & internal interaction with Front Office, Operations, Technology, and participating in a variety of initiatives/projects to improve operational processes by maintaining a level of control, and to improve our technical platform/MO processes/controls, and to meet Market/Regulatory requirements.

In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Collaborate and partner with regional / global and internal/ external stakeholders
  • Resolve day-to-day issues and escalate as needed; recommend solutions to resolve complex issues
  • Monitor and provide solutions to errors to minimize risk to the firm
  • Participate in the implementation of assigned projects, including new products, services and upgrades to platforms
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Bachelor’s/University or above degree
  • Team player, locally, regionally & globally
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive
  • Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented
  • Strong, influential communicator who is articulate and concise, demonstrated success interacting with stakeholders in the business as well as the Operations, and Technologies
  • Strong risk management and control mindset
  • Japanese: native or business level for both writing and speaking where client service can be provided
  • English: business level
  • JSDA Registered Representative (Class I)
