Job Summary:

The Battery Group has 2 major programs to deliver: the Fire Protection 360, and the SiFAB 26,000. Each of these programs, called task forces (or sub business unit programs), are composed of several multi-functional work-packages (project plans) that will contribute to the success of these mega programs. The detailed management of these task forces is of paramount importance for the success of Alkegen’s battery business. The position of Senior Program Program Manager is created to help the Battery Group President to ensure the proper execution of these task forces. The position will report directly to the Battery Group President and will be part of the leadership team of the Battery Group.

Responsibilities:

Be the right arm of the Battery Group President as far as execution of all projects is concerned
Responsible for the proper execution of the Task Force Programs
Tracking progress of all Work Packages and identify gaps versus plan
Demand corrective actions to the Work-Package Leaders (WPL) as relevant.
Ensure coordination between all work-packages of the Battery Group task forces.
Ensure the WPLs understand the expectations about the deliverables of their team
Ensure the delivery of the presentations to the Task Forces Steering Committee
Support the WPLs in the formulation of their resources needs, the corrective actions they want to propose, and the management of their work-packages
Support the WPLs in their daily operations by providing business guidance
Work with the resources/assets holders (Marty and Functional leaders) to ensure proper resourcing of the task forces

Skills and background requirements:

•At least 10 years proven experience in complex project/program management
Natural planning and organization skills
Multi-functional experience
Business experience
Self-starter with the ability to lead teams through ambiguity to solve problems and drive results
Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike
Leadership skills including excellent communication and ability to
Ability to assess the teams to ensure programs are setup for success
Conflict and Influence management skills
