Analyst IT Security - Vulnerability Management

Location: Mexico City (Hybrid)

As an Analyst IT Security - Vulnerability Management supporting our IT Security team, you will be trusted to work as the first line of defense in identifying and managing vulnerabilities in Alcon's IT and OT on-prem and cloud infrastructure from our office in Mexico City.


In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Conducting regular dynamic and static vulnerability scans using automated vulnerability assessment tools to identify potential security vulnerabilities and weaknesses in systems, applications, and networks.
  • Analyzing scan results and prioritizing based on environmental and external vectors.
  • Coordinating with internal teams to ensure that vulnerabilities are patched or managed appropriately.
  • Tracking the patching cycle to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed within agreed timeframes.
  • Keeping up with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to contribute to vulnerability maturity processes.
  • Preparing and presenting vulnerability reports and effectively communicating associated risks to stakeholders.
  • Developing scripts to automate system integration and ingestion processes for inventory and data aggregation tools.
  • Collaborating with application developers to explain vulnerability details and remediation steps.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (Bachelor’s: +4 yrs.).
  • 4 years of relevant experience in the Vulnerability Management space.
  • Experience working with Vulnerability Management DAST and SAST platforms such as Qualys, Rapid7, Veracode, Checkmarx, etc.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and the ability to write SQL queries.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and a solid understanding of Secure SDLC.
  • Preferred experience in IT, particularly in healthcare, medical devices, or the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience managing vulnerabilities in public cloud environments.
