We’re hiring a Vice President of Finance - a strategic leader ready to drive financial excellence in a dynamic hospital environment.
In this high-impact role, you’ll lead the full spectrum of hospital financial operations from budgeting and forecasting to compliance, reporting, and strategic growth initiatives. You’ll partner closely with executive leadership, corporate finance, and operational teams to ensure financial integrity, optimize performance, and support expansion of critical healthcare services.
What You’ll Lead:
• Oversight of comprehensive budgeting processes (capital, labor, revenue, and expenses)
• Financial analysis and reporting across all hospital departments
• Strategic financial planning in partnership with executive and corporate teams
• Regulatory compliance, internal audit coordination, and risk management
• Revenue cycle collaboration, including Charge Description Master optimization
• Financial leadership for satellite emergency department programs and partnerships
• Development of reporting tools and insights to enhance operational decision-making
• Financial education and guidance for hospital staff and leaders
What You Bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-5 years experience in hospital finance/accounting environments
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience, Director level or above
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence across functions
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) -preferred
• Strong analytical, reporting, and systems expertise

In keeping with MHS Corporate Finance budget plan, policies and procedures, coordinates the hospital’s formal budget program, including, but not limited to, capital, salary, productivity, supply, expense and revenue budgets.
Performs daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual analyses and reviews to ensure budgetary oversight and compliance for the hospital and the operating departments.
Directs the overall hospital financial management processes through interactions with hospital executives, cost center managers, and corporate departments to enhance efficiency and quality of services.
Reviews, interprets, analyzes, and reports financial and statistical data for administration, department directors/managers, and Corporate Finance.
Coordinates hospital participation and works with Business Development and Corporate Finance concerning expansion of existing services and new hospital services.
Assists in the preparation of statistical and financial reporting to external agencies with coordination and oversight from Corporate Finance.
Provides leadership and oversight to ensure maximum compliance with regulatory agencies, MHS accounting standards, controls, organizational goals, policies, procedures and contract terms.
Serves as the hospital Compliance Officer and primary contact for internal audit functions and activities. Participates on applicable corporate oversight and compliance committees.
Participates in monthly Corporate Financial close meetings.
Works with Revenue Cycle on the Charge Description Master.
Serves as the hospital leader in providing and coordinating financial education and orientation to the hospital staff.
Functions as hospital administrative liaison for the corporate departments of case management, accounting (and productivity), information systems, materials management, admitting/registration and health information management.
Coordinates the overall financial and statistical budgeting, reporting, and monitoring for MHS’ satellite emergency department program with Intuitive.
In partnership with Intuitive and local VPs of Finance, coordinates operating budget and monthly monitoring of actual performance of sites.
In partnership with Revenue Cycle, payroll, and corporate Finance, coordinates ongoing data sharing with Intuitive to both meet contractual obligations and enhance operations of the sites.
In partnership with accounting personnel, reviews Net Patient Revenue model and periodic lookbacks in accordance with satellite emergency department agreements.
In partnership with AVP Productivity, Intuitive, and local VPs of Finance, facilitate coordination of FTE and labor planning for satellite emergency departments.
Works with financial reporting and Finance Systems team to develop reports to facilitate understanding of the satellite emergency departments operations.
Performs other related accountabilities / duties as required or directed.
