Senior Sales Manager, Euronext Securities European Expansion
Job Description
This role belongs to our European Expansion team working across our 5 CSDs in Copenhagen, Oslo, Porto, Milan, and Athens and involves close collaboration with the heads of exchanges across Europe.
In this role you will be involved in the sale and promotion of new product initiatives, namely strategic business projects related to existing and new markets participants, as well as the roll out of new client offerings.
Key Accountabilities
- Build and maintain a list of target clients to be connected to Euronext Securities to execute on the business plan, split by category and level of priority (settlement agents, custodians, issuer agents, etc.)
- Through direct engagement with target clients, and with the support of Euronext Securities’ products team (ICS & Services) and European Strategy team, build and refine a compelling value proposition for each targeted client segment, including market coverage (geography, asset classes), service and fees
- Through interaction with target clients, secure their engagement with Euronext Securities to adopt new membership models.
- Coordinate client engagement with Clearing & Cash Equity sales and products teams, and with the Heads of Secondary Markets and other client facing roles across Euronext
- Product & market development: build specific, sector-oriented knowledge for the various products.
- Identify market developments and translate them into sales activities (outbound)
- Collaborate with client onboarding and business operations team and monitor proper execution of target client onboarding
- Relationship management: make tactical and strategic contacts at the management level through client networks and other channels
- Ensure alignment with Product managers in Euronext Securities on how to improve value propositions, prices and bundling of products for your market(s).
- Client success: ensure that the service/product is successfully delivered to the client and communicate with the client to fix potential issues. Identify cross-selling possibilities
- Help our management to drive the business by creating and maintaining key performance indicators and management tools.
Profile and Skills
- at least 20 years of strong experience working in sales of product in the financial markets industry
- Ideally having experience working in both the primary and secondary markets ecosystem, with strong networks and relationships in both
- Excellent interpersonal skills in an international environment – working with teams from various locations and departments, and interacting with varying levels of seniority across the organization.
- Strong ability to build and maintain close relationship with clients, including at C-level.
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing (preparation of client or internal materials, etc.)
- Strong team spirit – ability to bring all team members, across all countries together to work in the same direction.
- Organizational skills – structured approach, rigorous analysis and follow-up.
- Preferably experience with operational setup of Back offices in Dutch banks
