As part of our 12-month Data & Analytics Placement Programme - you’ll join one of our Data & Analytics (D&A) teams in our Head Office in Watford (Marketing, Customer Service, Finance or Logistics) playing an integral part in enabling data-driven decision-making to drive commercial performance.  

You’ll support key D&A work, learning how insights support strategic decisions across TJX Europe. You’ll get to analyse large datasets and turn insights into straightforward narratives or recommendations for key stakeholders.  You’ll also build vital data, analytical and data visualisation skills through structured training, access to modern systems and support from experts across our D&A community.  Over the course of your placement, you will:  

• Develop your skills in SQL, Python, Snowflake and Power BI – accurately building, analysing and maintaining datasets or dashboard to help others understand key metrics  

• Supporting D&A work and projects including descriptive analysis, trend investigation, segmentation, early exploratory modelling and test-and-learn initiatives 

• Support in scoping and refining analytical briefs and requirements as well as developing clear, actionable insight and translating data into meaningful recommendations for stakeholders  

• Identify opportunities for process improvement or automation within existing reports, workflows or data assets and knowledge-sharing across your function and D&A community 

Who are we looking for? 

• Students on a sandwich degree, in a numerate, analytical or data-focused degree 

• SQL / Python skills - interest and / or early experience in data & analytics tools are essential 

• Analytical Mindset - You enjoy breaking down problems, exploring data and drawing simple, logical conclusions 

• Comfortable working with large datasets - You have strong attention to detail, data accuracy and can learn new tools quickly 

• Strong Communication skills - You can translate findings into simple, meaningful messages for non-technical audiences. 

• Curious and proactive - You're eager to understand key business drivers and commercial performance 

• Organised and Delivery - Focused - You can take the initiative, balance lots of changing priorities in a fast-paced environment and remain flexible in your approach. 

• Collaborative team player - You enjoy learning from others and contributing to a supportive, inquisitive team culture.
