Capital Chevrolet Buick GMC IncThe Afternoon Porter plays a vital role in maintaining the smooth operations of the dealership during the later hours of the day. This position ensures vehicles are properly handled, organized, and presented to uphold a high standard of customer satisfaction. Supporting the Service Department, the Afternoon Porter focuses on tasks that contribute to an exceptional customer experience while maintaining a clean, professional, and organized dealership environment.
Essential Duties:
Safely move vehicles to and from service bays, parking areas, and the dealership lot as required
Ensure vehicles are parked in designated areas, organized, and easily accessible
Wash and vacuum vehicles as needed, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Greet customers warmly and assist them with vehicle drop-off and pick-up
Perform quick checks (e.g., fuel, wipers) to ensure vehicles are ready for customer delivery
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dealership lot and surrounding areas
Perform regular checks for any hazards or obstructions, reporting issues promptly
Adhere to all safety protocols and dealership policies
Report any incidents, damage, or safety concerns immediately
Assist Service Advisors and Technicians with vehicle-related tasks, including organizing keys, retrieving vehicles, and maintaining an efficient workflow
Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Prior experience in a dealership or automotive setting is a plus but not required
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Friendly demeanor and a customer-focused attitude
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail with a commitment to vehicle care and presentation
