Job Description

The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach ESCI 325- Engineering Materials and Structures.

Course Description:

This course is an introduction to major classes of materials (such as metal alloys and composites) used in aerospace engineering applications. Students will explore fundamental deformation mechanisms of high use alloys (such as titanium) and how composite materials enable directional tailoring of material and structural properties.

Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California.  ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.

Qualifications

Applicant Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctorate degree (e.g. PhD, EdD, ScD, DrPH) with dissertation, experience or published research in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics or related field and demonstrated experience in research methodologies.

Degrees Within the Teaching Discipline:

  • Aerospace Engineering (including Aeronautics and Astronautics)
  • Mechanical Engineering
