What is FTS PMO Shared Systems Operations Support Team responsible for?

FTS PMO Shared Systems Operations Support Team is participating in projects involving changes to systems we support. The main system supported by us is Data Integration (DI) which serves as data distribution hub - it consumes data from various systems, stores it in Oracle database and then makes it available to consumers via various formats. Usually as part of each project we are adding more data to DI or we are defining new subscribers of existing data. We act as liaison between business teams and technology teams - we translate business requirements into more technical language - solution documents, data mappings, dataflow diagrams etc.

Team's responsibilities:

  • Partner with clients to drive system solutions to solve business challenges,

  • Coordinating changes to business systems with technology team,

  • Support the creation of new system reports,

  • Support core systems data extraction

What are the ongoing responsibilities of Intern PMO Trade Services?

Since most of our time we spend on projects which vary from each other and involve different sets of performed tasks, intern responsibilities will depend on what project he/she is assigned to. At high level, these responsibilities will be related to data - analyzing it, understanding, mapping from one system to another. This data will be mainly related to transactions / positions in financial instruments.  For this role specifically we would like intern to be involved in AI initiatives - explore how we can utilize AI in our company.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Current student status and availability for 25-30 hours per week,

  • Fluent command of English language (spoken and written),

  • General interest in financial markets,

  • Knowledge of financial instruments like equities, fixed income, options, futures,

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data,

  • Knowledge of SQL (preferred),

  • Familiarity with common data formats like XML and JSON would be a bonus,

  • familiarity with generative AI tools and models will be a plus.
