We are seeking a Senior Project Planner/Scheduler, to be based in the Port Allen, LA area.

General Description

The Senior Project Planner/Scheduler is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the contractor planning & scheduling processes, procedures and products for the Piperack Module Fabrication and Assembly work, supporting our Major Capital Projects. This new position will be based in our Fabrication Contractor’s office in Port Allen, LA area, and report to the Senior Manager, Planning & Scheduling assigned to the Piperack Module Scopes of Work. This position will collaborate with Venture Global project management and contractor personnel to provide oversight of contractor planning and scheduling processes, procedures and reporting, to ensure adherence with the Project goals and expectations. The primary focus of this position will be to ensure contractor employs robust Planning and Scheduling processes, and procedures in adherence with the goals and objectives of the Project, and to ensure complete and accurate reporting of progress and overall status is done in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with agreed upon requirements. The role will also require effective verbal and written communication and presentation to Project Management and the entire Fabrication Contractor Team for timely decision making and incorporation of stake holder input.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of contractor Processes and Procedures for all Planning and Scheduling to ensure compliance with Project expectations.
  • Contribute to reviews of Contractor execution plans & schedules.
  • Drive implementation and execution of plans.
  • Review and evaluate contractor productivity and performance against budget.
  • Attend contractor progress and schedule update meetings.
  • Analyze contractor progress methodology and evaluate productivity.
  • Monitor and report on contractor progress and forecasts.
  • Develop contractor Fabrication and Assembly reports for management review.
  • Produce data-based visuals and presentations for management meetings.
  • Build relationships and interface with the contractor project team.
  • Assist in coordinating interface information between contractors.
  • Identify risk mitigations and opportunities for derisking.
  • Provide collaborative leadership to internal Planning & Scheduling team.
  • Support Time Impact or other commercial claims analysis.
  • Develop and maintain graphical summary depictions of execution plan.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years of relevant planning & execution experience in major Oil & Gas engineering and construction projects, particularly in support of engineering and procurement functions.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Visio skills.
  • Strong Primavera P6 skills
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL or similar relational database management systems preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, with strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic with ability to effectively prioritize, meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities and business needs, and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently summarize and prioritize information.
