Job Description:
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for being a liaison between internal stakeholders and third party suppliers to support timely and efficient onboarding of new suppliers, goods and services are procured from third parties efficiently and effectively, and that suppliers meet Marken’s quality, price, & service level expectations. Will support Ukraine procurement efforts including: leading the onboarding of new suppliers, evaluate, and support third party procurement transactions as effectively and efficiently as possible. This includes all aspects of the source-to-settle process and will involve the utilization of Marken’s procurement system, inventory control system, and logistics system. This person will collaborate with internal and stakeholders in maintaining acceptable inventory levels, and in assuring acceptable supplier performance (quality, pricing and service levels).
Primary Duties:
As necessary, confirm Proof of Delivery documentation is provided to the appropriate Marken contact(s)
Assist with the implementation and ongoing usage of the Procurement system
Support incremental Procurement activities as requested by Director and/or Manager of Global Procurement to assist with the evolution of the function
Document tracking and ownership for the onboarding process.
Reviewing business requirements with various internal stakeholders
Evaluating agreed service level commitments to assure goods and services meet or exceed expectations.
Telephone and e-mail communications with internal and external stakeholders
Work effectively with all departments of the organization, but more closely with:
Operations teams
Suppliers
Finance
Marken branches and agents
Securing transportation details/costs and assuring documents are accurately updated as needed
Communicate with suppliers and other Marken offices and overseas agents to confirm the timely arrival of vendor goods and services
Requirements:
University degree in a related field
General understanding and/or previous experience in Procurement/Supply Chain environment
Previous experience working with a web-based Procurement system
Proven ability to adapt and deal with multiple priorities on a regular basis
Proven ability to work effectively in a global organization
Confident in dealing with people internally and externally at all levels
Strong professional telephone manner
PC/System literate with xcellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Energetic and proactive
Team player
Able to think on their feet
