We are looking for an outstanding lawyer to join our Litigation, Arbitration and Investigations team in China (Beijing). Our lawyers work on cases covering a full range of contentious work – arbitration, cross-border litigation, investigations and contentious insolvency. In recent years, our lawyers have been instructed by our regional and global clients to assist with their most important local, regional and global disputes and investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sound and commercial legal advice to the client
  • Draft and review documentation (e.g. correspondence, submissions, memorandum, investigation reports) for accuracy, relevance and completeness
  • Identify key issues, concerns and trends in the relevant area/sector
  • Demonstrate understanding of the rules and practice
  • Present ideas clearly and concisely
  • Network to capitalize on new business opportunities
  • To succeed in this Associate role, you should be able to contribute to quality work and know-how, communicate effectively and be a proactive team player

Key Requirements:

  • PRC qualification is a must
  • 1 to 5 PQE (as per the UK scale)
  • Role will be based in Beijing
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Excellent critical reasoning, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have a broad range of experience and keen interest in all aspects of arbitration, cross-border litigation, investigation and insolvency
