The Office of Finance (OFIN) supports the University in planning and executing sound financial management in fulfillment of the University’s mission; implementing and maintaining a robust financial framework that supports management in effective decision-making; providing fiscal stewardship of University’s resources; and ensuring financial governance and compliance with regulatory requirements.

This incumbent will be working in Centre for Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE) and reports to the Finance Business Partner.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in financial planning and analysis, assisting the finance business partner in evaluating and analyzing operational risks

  • Support the financial planning and analysis process, including assessing investments, capital expenditures, and partnership/project financing

  • Assist in developing and implementing short and long-term operational strategies to achieve targets effectively

  • Assist in managing PaCE's budgeting, planning, and forecasting activities, overseeing budget utilization and performance evaluation

  • Contribute to business performance management through profitability and operational analysis

  • Provide regular updates on business plans and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), offering insights

  • Assist in business control planning and contribute to the preparation of comprehensive management reports

  • Ensure compliance with financial, legal, and regulatory requirements, promoting corporate governance and responsible resource use

  • Support in managing budget-related matters such as appeals and virement within the budget constraints

  • Manage a small finance team

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent professional qualifications

  • At least 4 to 6 years of relevant experience

  • Highly adaptable, good time management skills & problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrate outstanding working relation management

  • Advantageous to know SAP, Concur, Ariba
