Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the discovery of new materials and chemicals across various industries ranging from supercomputing, higher education, manufacturing, semiconductors, energy storage, climate science and agriculture.

We are looking for a creative and hard working individual who is ready to work with top industry and academic researchers combining generative and predictive AI models to accelerate the discovery and design of novel molecules and materials for applications such as the development of efficient batteries, renewable energy, environment-friendly polymers, improved industrial catalysts, and more. Do you find it exciting to help collaborators solve problems relating to AI for computational simulation and generative AI? If you find converting a small proof-of-concept into an inspiring solution for the larger community exciting, and you enjoy working hard in a team oriented environment, then we encourage you to apply!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Interact directly with industrial customers and researchers to adopt NVIDIA's platform for accelerating their AI driven workflows or models.

  • Profile AI applications/models, run benchmarks to identify bottlenecks and make recommendations on possible solutions.

  • Build proof-of-concepts and examples that can be used in joint collaborations with customers, demos and tutorials.

  • Collaborate with researchers and customers on whitepapers and with product teams on technical blogs.

  • Help to scope and define the road map for new features in NVIDIA's AI libraries, SDKs, and frameworks software stack.

  • Participate and present in the top AI/ML workshops and industry conferences.

What We Need To See:

  • Masters or PhD in computational physics, computational chemistry, materials science, computer science or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years hands-on experience developing, optimizing and running AI/ML models on GPU accelerated platforms for chemistry and/or materials applications.

  • Experience working in high performance computing (HPC) and understanding of GPU architectures.

  • Excellent coding skills in common language (e.g., C++) and hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.

  • Strong communication skills to explain sophisticated technical concepts to a broad audience.

  • Good debugging skills and the ability to fix and address technical issues effectively.

  • Technical communication skills, or equivalent such as writing papers and proposals.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a globally distributed team.

Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd:

  • Primary contributions to cornerstone research papers or open-source projects involving AI or GenAI for chemistry and materials science applications.

  • Experience in developing and optimizing AI applications for performance and scaling.

  • Proven contributions to the development of computational AI workloads used in industry and academia.

  • Familiarity with NVIDIA’s AI tools and technologies, including CUDA or Warp.
