This position is responsible for building and managing a high-functioning team of Operations Specialists, Scheduling and Cell Logistics, who are the primary point of contact for our couriers, apheresis collection centers, clinical treatment sites, distribution warehouse and manufacturing sites in managing real-time operational issues. The goal is to ensure this team are trained and supported in order to handle and triage a high volume of daily phone calls and emails. This person must maintain strong relationships with partners across the franchise and operations teams to ensure best-in-class customer service is delivered to our internal and external partners.

This position will report to Associate Director, EU Cell Therapy 360 Scheduling, and will collaborate with other global Senior Managers and Managers. 

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Experience:

  • 7 years of scheduling, planning, operations, customer service preferred
  • 2+ years managing direct reports, direct or indirect managing teams preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Manage individual contributing manager who support SCLT’s Operations Specialists managing real-time operational issues while maintaining a positive, inclusive, and professional team atmosphere and delivering on SCLT strategy
  • Manage Tier 1’s department (GPO) or regional cross-functional projects
  • Manage supply issues or business continuity execution
  • Plan and facilitate all management meetings
  • Accountable for team performance
  • Able to lead and provide cross-regional back-up support
  • Oversee plans of action for issues impacting significant number of treatments.
  • Communicate issue and solution with management and key internal and external stakeholders
  • Act as secondary escalation point for treatment sites and stakeholders
  • Analyze trends and develop action plans from feedback, operational metrics and KPIs
  • Provide weekly update on key projects and goals to regional heads.
  • Maintain positive, inclusive and professional team atmosphere
  • Manage given resources and identify resources needs
  • Hire and/or develop direct and indirect reports
  • Ensure direct reports and their teams are properly trained
  • Ensure direct reports and their teams are aligned with team strategy
  • Understand and champion global strategy and role of Scheduling and Cell Logistics
  • Provide input into goals and plans to deliver on global strategy
  • Set and manage team goals aligned with strategy
  • Develop and implement processes
  • Manage relationships with regional partners as assigned
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationship with clinical partners and BMS stakeholders matrix
  • Act as SME on global projects as assigned
  • Lead and manage global, cross-functional project
  • Develop and gather endorsement for business cases for transformational projects
  • Mentor at least 1 working group

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience working in a regulated environment (cGMP/FDA) is required
  • Must be skilled in planning and organizing, conflict management, decision-making, building relationships, innovation management, and resource allocation
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Highly self-motivated individual, with demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Flexibility in responding to change or business needs
  • English + 1 language (Spanish, French, German, Italian) preferred
  • Travel, up to 10%, including international travels
