JOB DESCRIPTION

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of backend services and APIs using Python.
  • Define technical standards, best practices, and patterns for backend development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, infrastructure, and data engineering teams.
  • Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Oversee CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code deployment
  • Review and guide code contributions from other engineers to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies, tools, and processes to improve development efficiency.
  • Ensure backend systems meet security, compliance, and operational requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience developing backend systems in Python, asynchronous programming, APIs, and event-driven design.
  • Proven leadership in designing large-scale, distributed, and high-availability architectures.
  • Strong experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), cloud platforms, and microservices.
  • Strong experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on media processing (audio/video) and ML service deployment
