Jain Global is an innovative multi-strategy investment firm founded in July 2024 by Bobby Jain with over 400 employees operating from offices in New York, Houston, London, Singapore, and Hong Kong, we are looking to add to our growing teams.   

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and intellectually driven Industrials Analyst to join our investment team onsite in Singapore. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with a Portfolio Manager (PM) on deep-dive fundamental research, industry analysis, and idea generation within the Industrials sector. The ideal candidate will have strong modeling and analytical capabilities, extensive coverage experience across Asia, and the ability to form high-conviction investment views grounded in detailed research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and commercial company and industry models as directed by the Portfolio Manager.
• Develop and maintain updated and precise fundamental views on Industrial sectors, supported by fundamental analysis and high-frequency data.
• Identify and communicate industry and stock-specific catalysts in a timely and insightful manner.
• Conduct company- and industry-specific research, including diligence and channel checks as directed by the PM.
• Build and maintain high-frequency databases essential to stock coverage and monitoring.
• Attend conferences and industry events to gather insights and refine investment perspectives.
• Uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and excellence in all work.
• Collaborate closely with the PM to support and co-own investment decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key sell-side analysts, research associates, and salespeople.
• Ensure complete accuracy and quality in all research materials and recommendations.
• Contribute to fundamental research into companies, industries, and sub-sectors.
• Maintain and present research-backed views on macroeconomic and industry trends in a concise, commercial manner.
• Assist in developing and innovating unique investment strategies to enhance portfolio performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3–7 years of experience covering China, Japan, and Korea markets within the Industrials sector.
• Proven coverage of Hong Kong/China Industrials, including autos, airlines, factory automation (FA), and defense.
• Proven coverage of Japan and Korea Industrials (autos, airlines, FA, defense).
• Experience covering other Asian markets is a plus.
• Open to candidates from buy-side (Long Only, Hedge Fund, Sovereign Wealth Fund) and sell-side (Equity Research) backgrounds.
• Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills with the ability to construct detailed, commercial models.
• Strong commercial sense, analytical ability, and domain expertise within Industrials.
• Demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly on new companies and generate independent ideas.
• Native Mandarin speaker with excellent communication skills.
• High intellectual maturity and sound judgment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
