AltaGas - Manager, Infrastructure - Hosting

The Manager, Infrastructure – Hosting is responsible for leading the delivery and ongoing operations of the AltaGas’ enterprise hosting platforms, including on‑premise data centers and all hosting environments.  This role ensures the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of hosting services that support enterprise applications and mission‑critical workloads.

A critical aspect of the role is the management of third party service providers, managed service partners, and infrastructure vendors. The manager is responsible for overseeing service delivery across all contracted hosting services, ensuring providers meet SLA commitments, performance targets, and compliance standards. This includes leading regular operational reviews, enforcing accountability through KPIs and contract terms, addressing escalations, and ensuring partners deliver consistent, high-quality service aligned with enterprise expectations.

The manager will lead a high‑performing managed services technical team, drive operational excellence, and partner closely with architecture, cybersecurity, cloud, and application teams to enable business outcomes.

You will:

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of compute, storage, virtualization, and backup/recovery environments.
• Ensure high availability, resiliency, and performance of all hosting services.
• Implement and maintain operational processes, including patching, lifecycle management, capacity planning, and monitoring.
• Establish and maintain SLAs, KPIs, and reporting for hosting services.
• Collaborate with architects to design secure, scalable hosting solutions that meet business needs.
• Oversee the deployment of infrastructure components (servers, storage, virtualization, appliances).
• Manage budgets for hosting infrastructure, tools, and services.
• Optimize costs related to hardware, licensing, contracts, and support agreements.
• Oversee RFPs, contract negotiations, and vendor performance.
• Accountable for executing the disaster recovery (DR) and hosting resiliency strategy, overseeing DR testing cycles, drive maturity in backup and recovery processes, RPO/RTO alignment with business needs.
• Participate in the response to high‑severity (P1/P2) infrastructure incidents

You have:

• Bachelor's Degree on Related technology field (Computer, Engineering, Science, etc.)
• 7+ Years in an infrastructure/cloud operations functional role and 3+ Years supervisory experience required, leading through managed service providers                        
• Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Experience with enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery technologies.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures and integration (Azure, AWS, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of infrastructure security practices and ITIL processes.
• Strong understanding of disaster recovery planning, business continuity frameworks, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.
• Experience with enterprise-grade data protection solutions (e.g., Rubrik, Cohesity, Commvault) to support backup, recovery, and ransomware resilience.
