  • Assist in educating senior institutional investors, corporate issuers and appropriate senior industry executives regarding Broadridge’s role in the shareowner communication and proxy process arena
  • Drive the promotion of key Investor and Issuer themes designed to promote influence industry ideas that are beneficial to Broadridge’s businesses
  • Manage the Independent Steering Committee of Broadridge, working with the Committee chair, including recruitment of members (who are appointed by Broadridge). The Committee includes corporate issuer, institutional investor, broker/dealer and custodial bank representatives
  • Assist in developing and maintaining key targeted strategic senior level relationships with the institutional investor, corporate and industry market channel for the long term
    • This includes support for and engagement with the ICS team developing ProxyEdge 2.0/custom voting policy engine
  • Identify trends and best practices in corporate governance; monitor existing and emerging issues regarding shareholder proposals and investor engagements; anticipate governance policies for Broadridge Investor Communication Solutions
  • Maintain excellent relationships with key industry Associate leaders (Council of Institutional Investors, Society for Corporate Governance, National Investor Relations Institute, International Corporate Governance Network, and key educational institutions with influential corporate governance programs) so that Broadridge is always seen in the best possible light of having our clients’ best interests at heart.
  • Support regional programming through association chapter events (e.g., Society for Corporate Governance chapters) and, as appropriate, Broadridge forums.
  • Assist as requested in providing governance and proxy voting expertise to internal Broadridge teams providing voting platforms
    • Significant travel and public speaking responsibilities
  • Assist in planning internal webinars and other events on corporate governance            

Preferred Qualifications:

  • JD and/or Master’s degree
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in corporate governance; proxy voting and investor stewardship management; and company/shareholder engagement and communications.  The candidate should have a working knowledge of industry issues
  • Candidate must be able to work effectively with senior management and external constituencies and organization
  • Candidate must have the versatility and flexibility to work on a wide variety of assignments with cross-functional teams that may include senior administration, corporate marketing, client services, account management, IT, IR, regulatory affairs, sales, legal
  • Candidate should possess strong speaking and writing communications skills, analytical and research ability, superior initiative, follow-through and judgment and discretion
  • Willingness to travel and speak on behalf of Broadridge at meetings and forums regarding shareholder communications and issues affecting the industry and Broadridge
  • Candidate should have established relationships with senior institutional investors and corporate issuer associates and several years of professional experience in these industries
  • Ability to visit NYC and Long Island offices as needed
