Hey there!👋

At Fourthline, our mission is to fight financial crime. We help protect the global financial system by verifying millions of identities for banks, neobanks, online brokers, crypto exchanges, or insurers like N26, Trade Republic, flatexDEGIRO, National Nederlanden, Qonto, Shine, Solarisbank, and more.

Having started our journey in January 2018 only, we're incredibly proud to count around 250 employees between our Amsterdam and Barcelona offices with over 50 nationalities.

Your mission

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that will inform strategic business decisions. You will work with the Operations team to understand their information needs, develop reports and dashboards, and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.

What you'll do

  • Gather and analyze data from various sources, including databases, data warehouses, and external sources, to identify trends, patterns, and insights. This means querying data using SQL in Snowflake. It could also mean quick analyses using spreadsheets.
  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to present findings in a clear, concise, and actionable manner in Looker or spreadsheets.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their information needs and requirements and translate them into actionable reports/dashboards/insights.
  • Work with the data team to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in the different reports accessible to Operations. Your responsibility is to identify & drive these conversations. It is the data team’s or the product team’s responsibility to fix these issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings based on data insights.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business intelligence and analytics.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Looker and data interpretation.

What you will bring

  • +3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL or data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI), and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets.
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proactivity and self-driven mindset.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and predictive modeling is a plus.
  • Certification in business intelligence or data analysis is preferred.
