Job Description
As Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering d service excellence to our customer expectations, and provide onsite scheduled preventative maintenance, repairs, installation & IQOQ of the various instrument such as Biological Safety Cabinets, CO2 Incubator, Cold Storage, Centrifuge and instrument related to Laboratory products.
Responsibilities:
- Represents our company in a positive, professional manner in all dealing with Thermo Fisher Scientific customers, both external and internal.
- Own and deliver service commitments and complete installations, calibrations, preventative maintenance, training or basic repairs.
- Responsible for providing services remote or at site within the agreed conditions; sets the accurate priorities.
- Service reporting, documentation and creation of protocols to specification on internal and customer needs.
- Maintain high level of customer allegiance by building strong customer relationships and promoting on excellent customer experience.
- Partner with our commercial colleagues to deliver customer deals that can be implemented profitably and meet/exceed customer expectations.
- Responsible for optimization and accuracy of the provided tools and consignment stock.
- Help on continuous improvement through our Practical Process Improvement Business System.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues independently or with support, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
- Adhere to all relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements during service activities, including proper handling of biohazardous materials where applicable.
- Continuously develop technical skills and product knowledge through formal training and self-study to stay current on product updates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education preferable in electrical, electronic, Biomedical engineering.
- 3+ years of work experience in Field service.
- Excellent interpersonal communication in Korean language, intermediate and above in English.
- Ability to work optimally with customers and colleagues in difficult and stressful situations.
- Good verbal and written communications skills related to technical approaches, work performed, test results, and findings.
- Customer friendliness and a professional demeanor.
- Must have strong electrical or mechanical background for troubleshooting /repair, design evaluation and problem-solving abilities.
- PC literacy including MS Office and Outlook.
