Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing the Plant Support Engineering (PSE) department at Beaver Valley Nuclear Power Plant. This role ensures that troubleshooting support, temp mod development, causal investigation of issues, engineering in-field activities, and outage preparation & execution are performed timely, while upholding technical conscious. The Sr. Manager, Plant Support Engineering develops and promotes technical systems and component knowledge throughout the department.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Direction and oversight of the Plant Support Engineering Department
• Development of PSE Supervisors
• Chair and facilitate various meetings
• Serve as a Project Sponsor as required
• Facilitate staffing activities
• Manage and allocate departmental budget to resolve site issues, execute engineering outage activities, and perform analysis
• Develop and facilitate the Beaver Valley Equipment Reliability strategy
• Interface with State and Federal regulators to demonstrate continued safe operation of Beaver Valley
• Determine departmental priorities in accordance with current site needs and corporate leadership vision
• Interface with external review committees

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or related field
• Technical understanding of nuclear plant regulations, processes, programs, and procedures
• Experience with financial controls, planning and scheduling
• Engineering experience with Design, Systems or Component specialties.
• Plant Certification or SRO Certification/License preferred
