We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join us. 

Focus:

Design, implement, and maintain the ingestion, storage, and data flow backbone for Replays, ensuring session replay data (captured via RRWeb) flows efficiently from frontend capture to backend analytics and AI systems.

Responsibilities:

- Own the ingestion architecture: Kafka (Confluent) → MongoDB/ClickHouse.
- Define and evolve the data schema for session replay events and associated metadata. - Build Node.js APIs and background workers to process and persist session data efficiently.
- Maintain data quality, observability, and cost efficiency across the pipeline.
- Work closely with AI engineers to expose structured data for insight generation and RAG pipelines.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to optimize capture payloads and replay synchronization logic.

Requirements:

- 5+ years backend or data infrastructure experience.
- Proven experience with high-volume, event-driven systems.
- Strong Kafka and distributed data systems background.
- Experience with ClickHouse and real-time analytics pipelines - Startup mindset with focus on delivery and iteration.
- Familiarity with LLMs and generative AI
- Experience with productivity tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot
