Our world is transforming, and PTC is leading the way. Our software brings the physical and digital worlds together, enabling companies to improve operations, create better products, and empower people in all aspects of their business.

Our people make all the difference in our success. Today, we are a global team of nearly 7,000 and our main objective is to create opportunities for our team members to explore, learn, and grow – all while seeing their ideas come to life and celebrating the differences that make us who we are and the work we do possible.

We are seeking a proactive, customer-focused Customer Marketing Senior Specialist to help expand and scale PTC's global Customer Reference Program while supporting strategic customer community and advocacy initiatives. Based in Barcelona, this role will work closely with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Product Marketing, and customers around the world to identify, recruit, and nurture customer advocates who can share their transformation stories and business outcomes.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the ongoing rhythm of reference recruitment, customer storytelling, and advocacy engagement. This includes identifying customers from events, executive programs, advisory boards, industry exchanges, and user community activities, helping guide them through the reference process, and supporting the creation of customer-led content that enables marketing, sales, and customer success teams.

Because many reference interviews and customer conversations occur with North American customers, this role requires flexibility to participate in occasional evening calls to support customer interviews, reference development activities, and advocacy programs.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, an excellent communicator, and passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences. They are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, building relationships across functions, and turning customer success stories into impactful programs that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Reference Program & Advocacy

  • Support the execution and growth of PTC's Customer Reference Program by helping recruit, engage, and nurture customer advocates.

  • Identify potential reference candidates through events, advisory boards, customer communities, customer success teams, sales teams, and marketing programs.

  • Partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Product organizations to align customer advocacy opportunities with strategic business priorities.

  • Coordinate customer reference requests, introductions, interviews, case studies, videos, speaking opportunities, and peer-to-peer advocacy activities.

  • Assist with customer interview preparation, scheduling, logistics, and follow-up communications.

  • Maintain and enhance reference records within internal systems and contribute to ongoing data quality and program visibility efforts.

  • Contribute to internal advocacy communications that increase awareness and adoption of customer reference resources across the company.

Advocate & End User Engagement

  • Support communications that promote PTC/USER’s customer-led mission and core programs, including the Global Summit event, newsletter, Regional User Groups, and Technical Committees.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and PTC/USER leaders to nurture customer advocates, connect users with education and peer support, and create pathways for customers to learn, contribute, and engage more deeply with PTC and the broader user community.

Reference Activation: Equip GTM with Customer Proof

  • Administer and maintain Reference View and related customer reference databases, ensuring records are accurate, searchable, up to date, and aligned to customer permissions, products, industries, regions, use cases, and advocacy activities.

  • Manage reference recruitment workflows from intake through activation, including prioritization, status tracking, stakeholder follow-up, and progress reporting.

  • Create and maintain customer reference slides, story snapshots, account briefings, and sales-ready advocacy assets that help GTM teams use customer proof effectively.

Customer Story Amplification: Spotlight Customer Heroes

  • Support customer review and third-party proof-point initiatives that strengthen PTC's visibility, credibility, and trust signals in AI-driven search and GEO results.

  • Support a regular reference drumbeat that highlights new customer stories, available references, recent wins, quotes, videos, speaking opportunities, and newly published advocacy assets.

  • Repurpose customer stories and proof points into short-form content, including social media post drafts, customer quote graphics, story teasers, event promotion copy, and other bite-sized advocacy content.

Program Operations & Communication

  • Manage project timelines, stakeholder communications, and operational processes that support advocacy and customer marketing programs.

  • Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and updates that communicate program progress and impact.

  • Track reference recruitment pipeline health, customer review activity, and customer proof assets by region, helping service GEO-related reporting needs and identify gaps in customer validation across priority markets, industries, and solution areas.

  • Identify opportunities to improve program efficiency, customer experience, and advocacy engagement through new ideas, processes, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in Customer Marketing, Marketing, Customer Advocacy, Community Management, Customer Success, Event Marketing, or a related field.
