The Research Assistant provides skilled, administrative, and technical support in research. Assists with phases in a research project. Assists in preparing proposals for funding agencies, operations of research equipment, and other lab/personnel in research. Collaborates with other research personnel.

Responsibilities
Research
Develops & maintain software and builds & maintain data pipelines for data science and AI projects on various projects.
Support MHA accreditation efforts through software & data pipeline development and maintenance for data collections, processing, and report out using cloud infrastructure
Provides general support in organizing, scheduling, and coordinating program activities across multiple projects.
Assists with routine data entry, documentation, and maintaining accurate records.
Uses computers and software tools to track information, prepare materials, and support program operations.
Helps compile and summarize information for reports, meetings, and program updates.
Research Publications
Assists with preparing materials for proposals and helps gather required documentation for funding submissions.
Supports the maintenance of financial records by organizing receipts, tracking expenses, and updating project-related files.
Provides assistance with routine reports, invoices, and general record-keeping to ensure accurate and organized program documentation.
Mentorship
Assists undergraduate and/or graduate students and other laboratory, technical or staff involved in research.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and frameworks like Ruby on Rails.
Hands-on experience with cloud systems, including AWS, Azure, and Heroku.
Proven expertise in record linkage, developing performance measures, and building interactive performance dashboards.
Experience with accreditation data collection.
Knowledge of Master of Health Administration (MHA) program competencies.
Experience working in a collaborative research environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of computers and computer software related to the position.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Data analysis skills.
Attention to detail.
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Ability to work independently and troubleshoot.
