Lead Integration Engineer

Job Description:

Role purpose

Design integration solutions for business platforms ensuring all relevant options are explored for time, cost and compliance to the company’s standards, policies and practices whilst meeting the business’ requirements. The role will coordinate with developers, other platform teams and vendors in the delivery of the solution for clients, shepherding it through the relevant governance.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Evaluate integration architecture for business platforms - integrating IT systems per organizational needs & aligned to the enterprise architecture; - Comply with all governance and due diligence, timelines and cost, applicable to the solution

  • Propose & define design options based on requirements and the standards, patterns and procedures

  • Evaluate project constraints to find alternatives, alleviate risks, and propose process re-engineering if required

  • Prepare and/or review relevant documents like Integration Strategy document, Integration Design Document, Test Strategy, Integration Repository, Integration Solution or Business Work Instructions, etc.,

  • Walkthrough the to-be solution through forums such as 'Business Playback', architecture review board, design review forums. Address solution related questions, concerns from the business. Provide suitable solutions/workarounds

  • Deliver integrations that match business requirements

  • Guide development teams throughout the project lifecycle

  • Provide post implementation support during Hypercare and steady-state operations

  • Document and share best practice knowledge for new solutions, keep assessing process improvements applying Continuous Improvement methodologies

  • Continuously research emerging technologies and propose changes to the existing architecture

 

 

Professional Knowledge/Skills

  • 8+ years’ experience in Application Integration

  • 6+ years’ practical experience in Boomi AtomSphere Integration, Data Hub, Flow, API Management, Data Integration, Task Automation, Event Streams, Managed File Transfer, and Boomi architecture design experience in all areas would be an advantage.

  • Must have Boomi Professional Developer Certification, Professional Windows Operational Administrator Certification, Event Streams Certification, Professional DataHub Developer Certification, and Professional Flow Certification, in addition Associate Integration Architect Certification would be an advantage.

  • Experience in Boomi ATOM and Mulecule architecture, design, and best practices.

  • Experience with Javascript, Groovy JS, Powershell, SQL Query experience

  • Experienced in all Boomi Shapes, Connectors, Log Management, Audit, and concepts.

  • Cloud technology experience with Azure Cloud infrastructure and networks

  • Experience delivering using Agile methodologies

  • Experience with Continuous Integration/DevOps methodology using Azure DevOps

  • Experience in Snaplogic IIP or Azure Integration Services would be an added advantage

  • Knowledge and experience in integrating Finance, HRIS or Sales systems would be an added advantage

  • Experience in ITSM processes (InM, PrBM, ChGM, SRM) toolsets such as ServiceNow.

  • Knowledge of transport protocols and standards, and working with APIs

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
